finding a decent sale at this time of year is pretty difficult. the fall season has just began. the bi-annual sales have just ended. most retailers are focused on pumping out new product to follow the momentum from global fashion weeks and fall weather
it’s a good time to get excited about clothing, but not an amazing time to buy. sure, a brand might offer markdowns of 15-25% off as a nudge to bite the nearly full-priced bullet, but those meager discounts are nothing compared to the sales that await for the holiday season (especially during a recession year like 2024)
it leaves yourself asking questions like “are those pants really worth $300?” or “my spring/summer jacket will surely keep me warm til november, right?” or “do i feel confident enough to even step outside if my jacket isn’t boxy cropped and my jeans aren’t baggy?”
